On July 29, 1981 Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer were married. 600,000 people filled the streets of London to get a glimpse of the procession. Diana, 20, took 3 and 1/2 minutes to walk up the red carpet aisle of St. Paul's Cathedral. Her sumptuous 25 ft. train of ivory taffeta and antique lace was the embodiment of a story book wedding.That Christmas one of our gifts was a 500 piece puzzle set with a commemorative tin of the royal couple, deemed a fairy tale wedding.
Today the tin still has a valued place on one of our bookshelves. A couple with youth, expectancy, vibrancy, and hope....
