GPS: June Trial Theme

This is an invitation to be part of the building crew of a possible writer's forum for a September launch. The Green Pen Society is our 'Words on Wings' and GPS and working on a mission statement.

For the month of June could anyone so inclined go on an interesting personal journey for good quotations and include some reflections? (Hey, this matches the perspective of quoteflections...) You could select one a day, or skip some days and do twenty...or ten for the month. It is entirely up to you.

Quotations are omnipresent: speeches, lyrics, writing, reports from the mass media... You may have a good book of quotations... Here is a directory of quotation sites:

Consider, for example, the site at Quote Garden and all the quotations about writing. Note their use of simile, metaphor, (imagery), the fluency of the sentences, (the way the words flow), their use of sound to convey meaning, and such literacy devices as irony, contrast and balance.

Notice how Quote Garden has quotations arranged around many other themes. You could spend a fruitful month just at this site. And we can share some of the meaningful ones we find.

Here is my journal (picture) for writing. We can start with pen and paper and eventually move to individual blogs, a mothership main blog with links to all members, a badge or logo which we could display on our sidebar, maybe even a Ning or community site....

Or maybe, the ideas will never fly...It's up to you...
